MY BOOK, ADOPTING A FILIPINO CHILD THE INTER-COUNTRY WAY
My book, Adopting A Filipino Child the Inter-Country Way was written based on the experiences I had with ICAB, the Inter-Country Adoption Board, where I have been a member and was later on elected as Board Member.
My heart would bleed every time I would see a child or group of children either on the streets begging or on the sidewalk sleeping. I would often tell myself that these children deserves a family--- every child should.
It was because of the things I have learned in ICAB and with the best interest of our children in my heart that I decided to write the book. I believe that adoption should not be frown upon but rather it should be encouraged. We should as a society open our minds that adoption should be an option to unwanted pregnancies rather than abortion. Every fetus inside the womb of a mother deserves a chance to live, and adoption could give that child a chance. Top Write a Comment |
